About the Project:
Welcome to our Colonial Times Movies! Room 9 has been working on these skits for about 2 months. A fabulous art teacher (Kim Newel) came into our classroom and helped us build the little people. We started off with making stick figures out of wire. We then put clay around the figures and shaped it to look like real human bodies. Making our characters' bodies took about three weeks. Afterwards, we made clothes out of fabric that every one brought in! There was a never-ending supply of fabric. (Although there were definitely favorite fabrics, so you may see some repeats!) Making the clothes took about another 3 weeks! Once all our people had clothes we made the backdrops for the play. After, we wrote the scripts and practiced with the backdrops. Finally we were ready to film our little movies!! The movies range from 1773 to 1783.
