Not only was Craig the owner of Knoll Lumber in Kenmore, but he had many years of participation in the Seattle Summer Swim League as a swimmer and coach. Several of our members were part of his swim team in the 70's. I first got to know Craig when he became my coach when I was manager at Wedgwood in the early '70's. He became a friend and many of my best memories were created with this incredible man. How can I forget our great hike through Haleakala Crater? Or running through South Whidbey Island State Park late at night? Or quiet breakfasts at Greenwater? He had a zest for life, a passion for nature, a love for Jethro Tull, and a visible caring for humanity. How can any of us forget the smile and the light in his eyes! We all lost a great energy in this world. Craig, we'll always remember and love you! Peter |
