It is the general policy of the View Ridge Swim and Tennis Club not to limb, prune or remove healthy evergreen or deciduous trees on the Club property. Trees that are damaged or hazardous may be limbed, pruned or removed under certain conditions. Requests by neighbors to allow limbing, pruning or removal of trees may be considered by the Board on a case by case basis. Requests may be granted with any or all of the following conditions:
- The pruning shall be performed by a company that is licensed, bonded and insured.
- The person(s) performing the work shall be member(s) of the International Society of Arboriculture.
- The contractor shall submit a certificate of insurance for General Liability and Auto Liability prior to beginning work.
- The Grounds and Building Board Member shall be notified 72 hours prior to beginning work to review the pruning on the site.
- The party requesting the pruning shall be responsible for all costs, including but not limited to the pruning and disposal of material.
- The contractor shall use standard horticultural practices during the pruning
- The contractor shall "shape" trees during pruning so they do not have a "topped" appearance. The trees shall be pruned to their natural shape.
- The contractor shall not damage other surrounding trees during the pruning process. Any damaged material will be reviewed with the Board Member for correction or replacement.
- All large pruning debris shall be removed from the site and disposed of in a legal manner. Small limbs may be chipped on site but must be spread and not left in piles.
- Replacement of tree(s) may be required.
- Notification of neighbors and others affected shall be the responsibility of the party requesting the tree pruning or removal.
