Pool Rules
1. In the morning the pool and grounds will be in use for instructional purposes, cleaning and maintenance. Only those involved in swimming lessons, swim team, and other directed activities shall be admitted prior to the opening for general swimming.
2. Children under eight years old will not be admitted nor allowed to used the premises, unless actively supervised by a competent member of the family or by a responsible baby-sitter.
3. All non-members who enter the club grounds must sign in at the pool office.
4. During Family Swim children under the age of 17 must be accompanied by a parent. This includes all part of the facility.
(Anyone under 17 years of age who is attending summer school full time or is working full time may apply in writing via the club manager to the Board of Trustees for permission to be considered as an adult for purposes of the aforementioned rule.)
5. The wading pool is to be used only by children five years and under. A competent member of the family or a responsible baby-sitter must be present at the wading pool while a child under three years is in the pool.
6. Children under six years of age are permitted in the swimming pool only after they have passed a minimum test prescribed by the manager, or are accompanied in the water by an adult or responsible baby-sitter.
7. Children over six years of age who are unable to swim must be accompanied in the water by an adult or responsible baby-sitter. Determination of competency and responsibility of the baby-sitter will be made by the management.
8. No person under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be allowed upon the premises, and no alcoholic beverages or drugs shall be permitted on the premises.
9. Smoking is not permitted on the premises.
10. All persons are required to take a thorough soap shower before entering the pool.
11. No person having skin lesions, sore or inflamed eyes, mouth, nose, or ear discharges, or is a carrier of any communicable disease shall use the wading pool or the swimming pool.
12. Pollution of the pool is prohibited. Specifically, urinating, expectorating, blowing the nose, or depositing any foreign matter in either pool is prohibited. Children who have not been toilet trained must be dressed with tight rubber or plastic pants under a swimsuit. Diapers are not allowed in the pools. Please encourage your children to use toilet facilities.
13. No shoes will be allowed within the pool enclosure.
14. Tobacco, food, candy, and drinks are not allowed inside the pool enclosure or dressing rooms. Gum is not allowed anywhere at the club.
15. Swimmers should be appropriately dressed for swimming. "Cutoffs" or other sportswear are not to be worn in the pool.
16. After leaving the pool enclosure, swimmers may not re-enter the pool enclosure until they have returned to the bath house to re-shower or have cleaned their feet.
17. Anyone using suntan lotions, creams, oils, or hair dressing shall take a thorough cleansing shower before entering the pool. Sunscreens should be "waterproof."
18. No glass anywhere at the facility. Other sharp-pointed, breakable or otherwise dangerous objects are not allowed within the pool enclosure, in the locker room, or showers. This includes shampoo, suntan lotion or oil, and beverage containers.
19. Life jackets, preservers, other flotation devices, or swimming aids are not allowed in the pool.
20. Diving masks with glass lenses or goggles with glass lenses are not permitted in the pool. All others must be approved by the staff.
21. Walk on the deck. Please no running or playing on the concrete walkways within the club premise.
22. Remove all bandages, hairpins, and other items likely to fall off, before entering the pool.
23. Talking to a lifeguard on duty shall be restricted to necessary conversation.
24. No pets are permitted on the club premises (including the tennis area.)
25. Bicycles shall be placed in the bicycle rack outside the pool enclosure by the tennis courts. No "roller blading" in the pool area.
26. No radios shall be used on the premises except when connected to earphones such that the sound is audible to the individual user.
27. When lounge-chairs are in heavy demand, adults shall have priority in their use.
28. The staff has the authority for cause to forbid anyone to enter the pool, and also to order anyone from the pool or grounds.
29. The staff has the duty and the authority to evict from the premises any one whose behavior constitutes a danger or nuisance to others, or for infraction of these rules. The manager will as soon as possible contact parents to determine the nature of the suspension and set expectations for future behavior. (Serious or repeated violations will be referred to the Board for additional action. The Board of Trustees may for cause, suspend a member for a period of time not exceeding three months, or may expel a member.)
30. Members will be responsible for any damage, loss, or infraction on the rules by themselves, their children, their guests, or renters.
31. Lap lane swimmers must be 16 or over, unless the guard gives permission. Lap swimmers should observe the following common lap lane courtesies: swim in a circle (down the right side), leave room at the end of the lane for turning swimmers, allow faster swimmer to pass, keep your strokes narrow so as not to disturb any oncoming swimmers.
32. Proper and safe behavior is expected in the dressing rooms. Property broken or damaged by a member or guest shall be promptly paid for by the member.
33. No diving in the shallow end.
34. No alcoholic beverages are allowed in the pool area (except for special adult membership functions authorized by the Board).
35. No "horse play" in or out of the water. This includes riding on shoulders or unsafe stunts from the side of the pool.
1. Reservation and play will be in one hour periods starting on the hour except as noted in 2. Reservations must be made by telephone or in person at the pool office during operating hours.
2. A tennis doubles foursome may sign up for two consecutive hours of court time when a court is available.
3. A member who is unable to keep a reservation shall notify the pool office as soon as possible so that another person may reserve the court.
4. Failure to be present within 10 minutes after the start of the reserved period forfeits the reservation.
5. The courts are held for adults-only reservations from 7:00 am - 8:00 am Monday through Saturday, from 5:00 pm to closing on Monday through Friday and from 12:00 noon Saturday until closing on Sunday.
6. During adults-only periods, the courts may be reserved only for adults or adults with their children. During these periods, children may play if courts are unoccupied but must yield to adults who appear and wish to play.
7. During times when courts are not reserved for group tennis lessons or tennis teams, one court only will be reserved for tennis lessons as demand dictates. When not in use for lessons, this court will be available for play.
8. "Adult" means an individual 17 years of age or over.
9. A member may make only one advance reservation not more than one week in advance and may not make another reservation until that one has been played.
10. Guest are welcome on the courts on the same basis as in the pool. If playing with a guest, the guest must be identified and a guest charge recorded at the time of the reservation. The guest fee for tennis will be determined by the Board.
11. The guest fee for tennis does not include swimming privileges.
12. Members making a reservation must include an indication of adult or junior status and the name of the others who will be using their reservation.
13. Both members and guest must be registered at the pool office prior to play.
14. Players must wear tennis shoes. hard-soled shoes, shoes with any kind of heel, or shoes with soles which mark up the court are not permitted.
15. Skateboards, roller skates, and bicycles are not allowed on the tennis courts.
16. No food, beverages, or smoking shall be allowed on the courts.
17. Proper tennis attire is recommended.
18. The use of radios in and around the tennis courts is not permitted.
19. After completing play, players must make sure that all gates to the tennis courts are closed when no one is waiting to play. After completing night play, players should turn off the lights on the court.
20. The tennis backboard is available without reservation on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Tennis Court Rules- Off-season
1. When the swim club pool office reservation system is not in operation, reservation sheets will be provided at the courts for members to make their own reservations on a first-come, first served basis.
2. Reservation and play will be in one hour periods starting on the hour.
3. Failure to be present within 10 minutes after the start of the reserved period forfeits the reservation.
4. A member may make only one advance reservation not more than one week in advance and may not make another reservation until that one has been played. Except as provided in 2, members may not reserve two consecutive hours for doubles, but if the court is vacant after one hour of play, the players may sign up for a second hour.
5. Players must wear tennis shoes. hard-soled shoes, shoes with any kind of heel, or shoes with soles which mark up the court are not permitted.
6. Skateboards, roller skates, and bicycles are not allowed on the tennis courts.
7. No food, beverages, or smoking shall be allowed on the courts.
8. Proper tennis attire is recommended.
9. The use of radios in and around the tennis courts is not permitted.
10. After completing play, players must make sure that all gates to the tennis courts are closed when no one is waiting to play. After completing night play, players should turn off the lights on the court only when other play is not scheduled immediately following.

Guest Policy
1. All swimming and tennis guests must be registered at the pool office.
2. Members may bring as many as five guests with them at one time. Members may arrange for small parties of more than five guest but such parties must be scheduled with the manager at least one week in advance.
3. Overnight house guest of members may use all Club facilities free of charge, provided that they reside outside the Metropolitan Area.* Overnight guests must register at the pool office.
*Metropolitan Area: From the south city limits of Seattle to the King County line on the north. Puget Sound on the west. Lake Washington and 61st Avenue N.E., running into 61st Place N.E. on the east.
4. Guests must be accompanied by the member at all times, unless an exception is granted by the pool manager.
5. A member's child who is in or entering high school or is a college undergraduate may bring a date as a guest to the pool between 7:00 PM and pool closing. No guest fee is charge for such guest, but the guest must be registered at the pool office. The guest limit will not apply.
6. A member who is single or widowed and has no children living in his/her home may bring one guest to the pool at any time without payment of the guest fee, but guest must be registered at the pool office.
7. Member's children who are not living at home are subject to guest fees and rules.
8. A person who is at least 15 years old acting as a full-time sitter of a member's child/children may use the club facilities after receiving approval of a formal written request submitted via the club manager to the Board of Trustees. The member shall place the sitter's name on file at the pool office and also notify the office if the sitter is changed. In any other case, a sitter must comply with guest rules in order to use the facilities.
